MOVING LONG ISLAND FORWARD

Housing

Farzeen’s own experience searching for housing demonstrates a commitment to the teachers and first responders being priced out of the places they serve. He’s one of us.

It’s because of this lived experience that Farzeen is committed to putting residents first. Instead of allowing luxury developments to push locals out, Farzeen will secure funding for non-profits and advocate for tax credits to build real, affordable housing. He will work with the towns to push for the conversion of abandoned buildings and strip malls into housing units. Farzeen will protect our neighborhoods by ensuring families can afford to put down roots here.

Farzeen isn’t running to let costs explode while wages remain stagnant. Politicians who stand by while residents are forced off the island they call home can’t be trusted to represent our best interests. Farzeen will go to Albany and work for us – not the luxury developers, and not the special interests.

Public Safety

Public safety isn’t just a talking point for Farzeen; it’s about ensuring families feel secure in their own neighborhoods. He understands that real safety requires prevention, accountability, and ensuring our first responders actually have the resources they need.

Our volunteer fire and EMS departments are currently underfunded and stretched thin. Farzeen will fight to secure the increased state aid they deserve, while also delivering funding for safer crosswalks, better lighting, and road redesigns. He knows that ignoring our infrastructure puts us all at risk.

We need a representative who looks at the root causes, not just the symptoms. That’s why Farzeen is committed to investing in youth mentorship and job training to prevent crime before it starts. He will go to Albany to work for our communities – ensuring a safer future for all of us.

Environment

The East End’s shoreline is more than just a view; it’s our economy, our homes, and our way of life. Farzeen knows that flooding, coastal erosion, and skyrocketing insurance costs are putting our communities at risk.

Instead of waiting for the next storm to hit, Farzeen will take action to protect our future. He is committed to securing state funding for critical water quality improvements and clean water infrastructure. Farzeen will advocate for commercial solar and battery storage projects that not only power our district but create good-paying jobs for our residents.

Ignoring these threats is not an option. We need a representative who sees the connection between a healthy environment and a thriving local economy. Farzeen will go to Albany to fight for the resilient infrastructure we need to keep our families and businesses safe.

Transportation

Reliable transportation is the lifeline that connects our neighbors to their jobs, schools, and doctors. Farzeen understands that for too many on the East End, limited bus and train service means limited opportunity.

We can’t accept a system that leaves our rural communities behind. Farzeen will fight to secure state funding to expand Suffolk County Transit routes, ensuring no one is cut off from the services they need. He will advocate tirelessly for expanded LIRR service to and from Riverhead, bridging the gap that currently divides our district.

Farzeen is committed to building a transportation network that actually serves the people who use it. He will go to Albany to make sure the East End gets its fair share of infrastructure investment.
